Energize Your Goals to Fuel Prosperity

Posted by:

Do you begin your New Year the same way each year by making all of those wonderful resolutions? Do you say to yourself “this time it’s going to be different – I’m going to make them stick” only to find that by the second or third week of January you are falling behind on your well-intended commitments? Take control and make your New Year’s resolutions work.

Take Control by Making a List

Use a paper tablet or an electronic device to make a list of all of the things you’d like to improve in your life in the New Year. Once you have your list, it is important to rank the items on your list in order of importance and begin immediately on numbers one, two and three. Choose no more than three to work on at one time. Three is the magic number that your mind likes to work with when creating sustainable change.

Visual Reminders Help You Stay In Control

After you have settled on your top three resolutions, create a visual reminder, something like a “vision board.” This visual reminder can be as simple as a piece of paper with one or two words representing the desired outcome of your resolution, or it can be as complex as a physical bulletin board with several words or pictures or a detailed graphic created on your computer.

For example, if you want a great relationship with a significant other, place items on your list that will help you accomplish this such as getting involved in social or volunteer organizations. Or, if your goal is to find a more fulfilling job or increase your income, use a picture of what the ideal job looks like or the amount of money you would like to earn. You can also cut out magazine or newspaper photos, headlines, pictures or words. Just be sure that whatever you choose to use as your visual reminder really motivates you and empowers you to achieve your goal.

Energize Your Goals and Take Action

My definition of Feng Shui is the use of positive energy to bring about desired results. Energetically attract your desired result (your resolutions) by adding more positive energy to your life. Then take action to fuel your resolutions. Listed below are five ways to energize yourself in the New Year.
  • Tell yourself on a daily basis that you “deserve great relationships” or “your new job and increased income is a nice improvement” or create a positive mantra of your own – you will empower yourself and increase self-confidence
  • Make today count because you are trading a day of your life for what you do
  • Put a post-it note on your refrigerator that re-enforces your goals – read it every time you pass by – it becomes the fuel that nourishes your desires
  • Read at least one uplifting message per day and one inspirational book per month – your soul will be nourished and your creativity nurtured
  • Remember, everything you think, say and do matters…because that is how you create your tomorrow.
When it comes to your resolutions, if you think it, you can achieve it. When you say it by putting it on paper, it starts to become reality. When you do it by creating your visual reminder, you are programming your mind to follow through. When you energize yourself you have ensured success and fueled personal prosperity and resolution success.
Creating a visual reminder and adding five new ways to bring positive energy into your life provides you the fuel to accomplish your New Year’s resolutions. These tips will help you accomplish your goals throughout the entire year ahead rather than just surviving the first three weeks.
